Couch to 25 Miles

The Couch to 25 Miles Plan

If you are trying to start exercising and want to use cycling as the door opener to a new, fitter you. We've drawn up a simple plan to help you get there. This one is free, it's a lead-in to our regular services. Hopefully you'll find the plan helpful and start a love-affair with your bike!

You can use the plan on any type of bicycle you own and on any medium (road/trail/bike path/trainer) you desire.

As always is the case with any fitness plan, undertaking it is entirely on your decision. Cycling can have some inherent risk if you have health issues not to mention the risk that comes with riding your bike on roads with cars. If you are at all worried about riding on the road seek out your local bike path or a cycling club/group to ride with. After you check with your Doctor about your ability to use this plan. All liability rests with the rider and none with us here at Over The Summit Coaching.

Now that the legalize is out of the way...get your doctor's permission to exercise, ride at your own pace and most of all have an absolute blast on your bike! Cycling is like being a kid all over again, small while you ride and always enjoy yourself!

I want to start exercising. Because now a days I am getting fatty. I know cycling is a very good exercise for burn the calorie. I am trying to do it everyday. Sometime can not do it everyday for the work pressure.

That's great! The important thing is to start, just start. It takes at least 2 weeks for a new habit to start forming. Even if you get a bit derailed by work and life commitments (who doesn't?). Just start! You'll not regret it. You can dial in the details of how to get you workouts in over the week. The diet changes, if you want to loose weight there is no getting around having to think a bunch about what you are eating as well as your new workout habits, can come later.

There are many forms of exercise, without even exerting much effort. But if you want to exercise your legs more, I think cycling is the most appropriate one. We know that if we do cycling, it will take us to places by just riding a bike. Aside from enjoying the ride while cycling, it also exercises our body, especially the legs. It would be more fun too when we are with our friends when we do this, we can do racing and such, it would be more enjoyable. But if we really want to achieve it, we must be consistent doing this exercise.
